Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the CutNoodle website and the CutNoodle application (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.
1. What the Service is
CutNoodle provides browser-based media tools and tools that create visual summaries from public X account activity. Media you choose to edit is processed inside your browser: we do not host those files or process them on our servers. The X tools request public account data through a third-party service and perform their calculations in your browser. The limited exceptions for image caching and optional X-tool share links you expressly create are explained in the Privacy Policy.
2. Your account
No account is required. There is nothing to register, and no credentials are issued.
3. Price
The Service is currently provided free of charge. If paid plans are introduced later, pricing, billing, and refund terms will be published before they take effect and these Terms will be updated.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to process material you have no right to use, to produce content that is unlawful where you are, or to attempt to disrupt, reverse the security of, or misuse the website. You must not use X results to harass, threaten, discriminate against, impersonate or misrepresent another person, expose private information, or make decisions that significantly affect them. You are responsible for the media you edit and for anything you download, share or publish, including copyright, privacy, likeness, data protection and consent obligations.
5. Your content
You keep any rights you have in your media and original contributions to an export. Your uploaded media is not sent to or stored by us. If you deliberately create a share link for an X tool, you instruct us to store and display that result for up to 30 days and grant us the limited permission needed to do so. You can request earlier removal by sending us the link. The public account names, profile photos, posts and other third-party material in an X result remain subject to the rights of their respective owners and people; a CutNoodle output does not give you ownership or permission to republish them.
6. Third-party software and services
The application relies on ffmpeg, an independent open-source project, compiled to WebAssembly and delivered with the website so that it runs inside your browser tab rather than on a server. Its own licence terms apply to it, and we make no representations on its behalf. The applicable licence, corresponding-source information and source offer are available on the open-source licences page.
The X tools use the independent, unofficial FxTwitter service from FxEmbed to retrieve public X account information. Images may also be requested from X Corp's servers. Those services have their own terms and practices, are outside our control, and may change or stop working. CutNoodle is not affiliated with or endorsed by X Corp or FxEmbed. Details of the information flow are in the Privacy Policy.
X Country Battle is a game, not an official ranking. Its leaderboard counts only the X accounts entered on CutNoodle, each once, under the country X publicly shows for that account. It says nothing about how many accounts a country has on X. Do not use scripts or other automated means to add accounts; we may limit, correct or remove entries and totals that result from abuse.
7. Availability and changes
The Service is provided as it is, and may change, break, or be discontinued at any time without notice. Features described on the website may be modified or removed. Because the application runs in your browser, it also depends on browser features outside our control, and a browser update may affect it. The X tools additionally depend on third-party access to public X data and may be changed, limited or suspended if that access or the applicable platform rules change.
8. No warranty
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that detection of silence will be accurate, that exports will be free of defects, or that the Service will suit your workflow. You are responsible for keeping your own backups of any source material.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, nor for loss of data, loss of footage, loss of profit, or missed deadlines arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
10. Intellectual property
The Cut-Noodle name, logo, and website content belong to their owner and may not be used to imply endorsement or affiliation without permission. X, Twitter, Tweet and related names and marks belong to X Corp. Their descriptive use on this website does not imply affiliation, sponsorship or endorsement. Other company, service and product names used in guides and comparisons identify the products being discussed and remain trademarks of their respective owners; those owners are not affiliated with or endorsing CutNoodle. You must respect copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity and other rights in all third-party posts, names, images and media shown in or copied into an output. Rights holders and people shown in a live CutNoodle share can contact us to request review or removal.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by closing the tab and clearing the site data your browser has kept. We may suspend or discontinue the website at any time.
12. Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be updated, and the date above will be revised. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
