Cookie Policy
Last updated: 30 September 2026
This page explains the small amount of browser storage used by CutNoodle and gives you a permanent way to change your analytics choice. The site and all of its tools work whether you allow analytics or not.
1. Before you choose
Google Analytics is not loaded and no analytics cookie is created before you make a choice. Your choice is saved under cutnoodle.analytics-consent.v1 in local storage. Local storage stays in your browser and, unlike a cookie, is not attached to every request. It contains only granted or denied.
2. Optional analytics cookies
If you select "Allow analytics", Google Analytics may create these first-party cookies:
_ga: distinguishes browsers for analytics; normally kept for up to two years._ga_<container-id>: preserves session state; normally kept for up to two years.
They are used only to measure use of the site and its tools. We keep advertising storage, advertising user data, advertising personalisation and Google signals disabled.
3. What analytics does not receive
Our analytics events are designed not to send X usernames, searches, filenames, images, video or audio, editor content, exported files or free-form error messages. Media processing remains in your browser.
4. Change or withdraw your choice
Select "Cookie settings" in the footer of any page. Choosing "Continue without analytics" updates your preference, stops future analytics measurement and removes the Google Analytics cookies that CutNoodle can access. Clearing this site's browser storage resets the choice and the banner will appear again.
5. Other storage
Some editing tools use IndexedDB to keep temporary project state in your own browser so that a reload does not discard your work. This is functional local storage, not advertising or analytics, and your media is not uploaded. Hosting and security providers may process ordinary request information as explained in the Privacy Policy.
The aggregate successful-completion counter described in the Privacy Policy does not read or write cookies, local storage or another browser identifier. It receives a new random event ID with the tool name only, so retrying one completion does not increase the count.
